The Pass Christian Historical Society strives to raise awareness of history in general, and to preserve and present the history of Pass Christian through research, records, archives, exhibitions, education, and celebrations.  Chartered in 1966, the Society has as its aim to provide each generation a focal point for learning Pass Christian’s history and a means of broadening appreciation of our heritage.

Visitors are always welcome during our open hours or by appointment to peruse our collection of books and artifacts. Our collection currently is small, due to the effects of Katrina, and we always welcome donations of books and objects of historical interest to Pass Christian, the Gulf Coast, the state of Mississippi and the region. 

 The Society meets monthly for programs of discussions, lectures and displays that shine a spotlight on a particular era, person, place, event or other topic of interest in the development of the Pass Christian past. We also actively work to preserve and share our history through the building of our archives, publications and programs. Being a member is a great way to get to know The Pass.
 
The Society also provides members opportunities for celebration of special events and landmarks, including a Tour of Homes or Garden Party in the spring and a winter gala. Be a part of history by joining the Society today and getting involved in our programs. We look forward to seeing you soon!
